Van Racking for Electricians

Our recommended layout for electricians utilizing medium-sized vans, specifically the Ford Custom SWB, is the versatile and efficient Combo no.9. This layout includes 2x 504W sections and 1x 960W section, offering a wide range of storage solutions.

The 504W sections can accommodate up to 8 slanted shelves, with ample space to house popular items such as the Stanley Fatmax Organiser. Additionally, the middle section, ideally filled with our 504W Bare Bones modules, can be customised to fit tool bags, Henry Hoovers, or various tool boxes, ensuring every piece of equipment has its place.

The 960W section offers 9 bays for Euro Containers, providing a convenient and organised system for fixtures, fittings, and tools. Topped with a continuous shelf suitable for longer items like levels, this layout maximises functionality. This driver side racking setup stands as our top recommendation for electricians due to its superior versatility and efficient use of space.

Adding a False Floor

Taking our Combo No.9 one step further, we highly recommend adding one of our half-length false floors, perfectly tailored for the needs of electricians. Understanding that electricians typically do not have to transport sheet materials, our False Floor No.2 offers the ideal configuration to maximise the utility of your van. This design leaves a full-height space at the side loading door, which facilitates easy access to the van, while preserving a considerable portion of the full-height van space.

The False Floor No.2 is often configured with a pull-out drawer on the right-hand side and an open area on the left. This setup is particularly well-suited to the needs of electricians, as the open left side can be used for sliding in longer materials such as ladders or conduit. Combining this with our driver side racking system truly creates a highly efficient mobile workspace, specifically designed with electricians in mind.
